Creator of I Am Worthy & the Sparkle Squad Girls Series

Farah Mak is an author, writer, and storyteller whose work blends the quiet magic of words with a powerful, purpose-led vision of self-worth.

She is the creator and author of the children’s picture book I Am Worthy and the Sparkle Squad Girls — a growing story universe designed to nurture emotional resilience, inner confidence, and self-belief in children.

Published by Hardie Grant Media, the Sparkle Squad Girls series invites young readers into a world where courage is gentle, kindness is powerful, and knowing your worth is your greatest superpower. Through playful storytelling and emotionally rich characters, the books offer children — and the adults who read with them — language, tools, and moments of reflection that help build confidence and self-belief early in life, before the world tells them otherwise.

Writing with Purpose (and a Little Magic)

Farah’s writing is deeply informed by lived experience — as a mother of four, advocate, survivor, and founder of The Self-Worth Movement. Across every format, her work blends hope with honesty, imagination with intention, and sparkle with substance.

She writes not to instruct or fix, but to awaken remembering — creating stories that feel safe, affirming, and quietly empowering. Stories that remind readers they are already enough, already capable, already worthy.

Farah has shared her voice and written work across global stages and purpose-led platforms, including speaking for Ferrari at their Ferrari Driven Women – International Women’s Day Luncheon, where she spoke on modern feminism, resilience, and the belief that empowered women empower women.

From Page to Screen: Sparkle Squad Girls (Animated Series – In Development)

Building on the heart and momentum of the book series, Farah is currently in the early development phase of an animated adaptation of Sparkle Squad Girls, expanding the world beyond the page and into screen storytelling.

The animated concept brings the Sparkle Squad universe to life — exploring friendship, emotional resilience, self-belief, and inner courage through richly imagined characters and storylines designed for a global young audience. The tone is uplifting and inclusive, blending emotional depth with colour, warmth, and wonder.

Farah is actively seeking aligned producers, studios, and creative collaborators to bring this vision to screen. The series is envisioned as a values-led animated property with strong cross-platform potential — storytelling that entertains while nurturing emotional intelligence and confidence from an early age.

She Shines — From Poem to Screen

At the heart of Farah’s creative journey is She Shines — a stylised docu-drama inspired by a poem she wrote as both a love letter and a call to arms.

She Shines is a story of self-love, self-worth, and the courage it takes to return to yourself after life has tried to dim your light. Currently in development with a passionate creative team, the project extends Farah’s written and advocacy work into visual storytelling — designed to educate, inspire, and spark healing conversations.

A Voice That Glows

Whether writing for children, women, or wider audiences, Farah’s voice is unmistakable — warm, poetic, grounded, and hopeful. She believes in the power of glitter (literal and metaphorical) to uplift and illuminate, and in storytelling as a bridge between healing and possibility.

✨ Her stories remind us that worth is not earned — it is remembered.
✨ That courage can be soft and still strong.
✨ And that when imagination meets intention, beautiful things grow.

Farah Mak writes to spark courage, nurture self-belief, and help people of all ages come home to who they truly are — with confidence, compassion, and a little sparkle along the way ✨🦋
